Thank you ALL

Words can not express how thankful I am for all who participated, donated, and showed their love  at the Dash4Ash 5k this past weekend. I am truly grateful I think my heart might have honestly grown a little more. Even Wrigley would like to say thank you! Things are still rollin right along. Had an incredible birthday with family and friends. It my golden year so I am hoping for my new heart to come here soon. No doc appointment this week HOORAY, INR is stable so next appointment is February 3rd.  Steve got me a gluten free cake at City Cake and Cafe and I was really excited to dig into it! Yes, it was very delicious!!
This message is for spontaneous and warm weather lover: If you register for the 5k walk/run before the 24th of January you will get a sweet t-shirt !!! It's NEVER too late! Spur of the moment vacation ... the best kind a vacation out there! Plus its gonna be nice outside up in the 60's.

There is going to be a raffle, corn dog and waffle truck, and lots more. You can also bring your pup along too! Heres how to register  https://runsignup.com/Race/UT/SaintGeorge/Dash4Ash Thanks to all that have put this together, especially Sabrina Higley and Megan Mathis. I am so very grateful for all the sponsors and everyone that has been a part of making this happen.   Nothing much has happened since last time, except a false alarm from the pager. Stupid pager battery was dead! I am very anxious for my new heart to arrive. I have kind of been down in the dumps lately it stinks being in limbo, but ya gotta do what you gotta do! Thanks for your prayers each and everyday . Honestly, it is very humbling to have all your support so thank you from the bottom of my h...

Another GREAT check up

Had another great check up appointment with my doctors on Tuesday. My INR is 1.9 a little on the lower side, but they didn't change anything with my coumadin  level because I have been having nose bleeds that have lasted for an hour or so, I think it's because the cold weather and dry air. You gotta love Utah air ;) The doctors told me if I get another nose bleed I am going to have to go see a ear nose throat doctor. Last night we went Walking with the Dinosaurs!! It was a blast even though we were basically the only ones without little ones. My favorite dinosaurs were the brachiosaurus that the one with the long neck and ankylosaurus  with the club for a tail. I still can't believe that the club weighs 150 lbs. CRAZY! Kate (sister in-law) and I made these sweet dinosaur hoodies, well mostly Kate did all I did was cut some stuff. So I forgot to mention that Lauren Roundy got married on December 30, 2014. Whoot whoot so dang happy for her and Brigder. ...

2015:.

Yesterday marks a whole 33 days out of the hospital, basically an entire month!!! It is time to celebrate, so Happy New YEAR!! I am hoping this year brings me amazing things and also to learn more and to just live life to its fullest potential. My Resolutions: -Run a half marathon -Hike Mount Olympus and/or a really large one :) -Go Skiing with my dad in Canada -Love my husband a little more I am so very grateful and blessed for you all! My good friend Kim told me her little niece prayed for me a couple weeks ago saying, "Please bless Ki's friend to get better and for her to find a better heart." I honestly feel your prays big or small. Thank you very much. I hope that everyone can have a wonderful year filled of surprises and challenges. Happy New Year!!

...

I had a doctors appointment this morning and everything is looking good. According to my LVAD nurses my waveforms are awesome and my drive-line site is looking mighty fine fantastic! It has been a month since my last blood transfusion, this means they are going to re-check my antibody levels. Right now I am at the top of the transplant list, but I have a restriction that the donor heart needs to be local. If my antibody test comes back normal they are going to remove the local restriction. Which will allow my donor heart to come from Boise, Jackson, Tucson even Albuquerque!! So this is going to make my waiting time decrease a wee bit I'm thinking :) Thanks again for taking time out of your busy schedules and especially around this Christmas season to pray for me, I honestly feel them, so thank you very very much! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

2 months!!

It has been a full 2 months since Gus was placed in me and I have been out of the hospital for 21 days today!! Whoot Whooot! And how very thankful I am for all those days truly. So I really do have Celiacs disease ha I know this because I ate about 12 or more I wasn't counting chocolate riesens and Steve was like Ashley those aren't GF and I was like ya they are look . I grabbed the bag and started looking over the ingredients and oops there was wheat in the ingredients! For Celiacs disease you cannot eat anything that has wheat, barley, rye, or oats in it. Pretty much everything that is good. So I was on and off the toilet all night haha  pretty fun ... NOT!! Anyways, everything is going dandy here just waiting for my new heart. Thank you for all the prays and love I truly feel each in every one of them so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Wrigley was wondering who's bummed that there is NO snow on the ground this close to Christmas? He's not so happy about it.
