I had a doctors appointment this morning and everything is looking good. According to my LVAD nurses my waveforms are awesome and my drive-line site is looking mighty fine fantastic! It has been a month since my last blood transfusion, this means they are going to re-check my antibody levels. Right now I am at the top of the transplant list, but I have a restriction that the donor heart needs to be local. If my antibody test comes back normal they are going to remove the local restriction. Which will allow my donor heart to come from Boise, Jackson, Tucson even Albuquerque!! So this is going to make my waiting time decrease a wee bit I'm thinking :)

Thanks again for taking time out of your busy schedules and especially around this Christmas season to pray for me, I honestly feel them, so thank you very very much! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

I was talking with my lovely mother on Facetime this morning and she suggested to post on my blog. I look at my blog and noticed I haven't posted since November! So here you go, during this crazy time I am no longer working and my day to day tasks have shifted drastically. I am sure all of you know what is going on all over the world. Chalk It Up as a Miracle.........

Some of you may know, but Ashley went through another Heart Transplant yesterday. After her first first new heart started to fail, we re-listed on the her on the transplant list immediately. We knew getting another heart would be a long shot, but we wanted the option to be there if a heart came available. Sure enough 18 hours on the list a second heart came available that was a perfect match for Ashley. Ironically, it took 4.5 months and then 2 hearts in the same week. We, including the doctors, are all chalking it up as a miracle. It was decided not to wait to see if the first heart would handle the load she would need but rather to move forward with the new donor heart. Going through a transplant a second time makes you really feel for the family who lost their daughter, sister, spouse and friend. boise

This past week was a wake up for our Wrigley. We had a dog trainer come over to our house and teach us how to break his habits of aggression towards other dogs and people. We learned how Wrigley communicates and when to give affections and praise and when not to. Now that we have the proper tools rather than the wrong ones. We are excited to help train Wrigley's behaviors into more friendly ones. This process is going to be long, but just like our surrogate process we are going to dive in and handle whatever is to come. With the surrogacy I have spoken to my parent's neighbor about being our attorney and she agreed to represent us.  This weekend we headed up to Boise. Steve and I have always liked the idea of Boise, so we went to go and checked out some places. We got these bikes at the hotel we were staying at for FREE and rode around downtown Boise.
