12662ft elevation

This weekend I was on top of the highest peak in Idaho called Mount Borah. It was death on top of death. I thought going up was bad because my heart was pounding out of my chest, think again the descend was painful especially on the toes and knees. It was the worst 12 hours but the most incredible adventure! On our way home it was remarkable to see how high we were and that we did it, we owned Mount Borah!

Having fun scrambling on Chicken Ridge

This summer has had it own ups and downs, but I have been trucking right along. I was planning on running my 2nd half marathon of this year in July, but couldn't. My knee was bothering me and I couldn't run distance. As you can see it is feeling fine because yesterday I was at 12,662ft of elevation. YEAH :) I am hoping I can place a check mark on my new years resolution of 3 halves this year, we shall see. We have rafted down Payette river, I have floated down the Boise river, went down to salt lake to surprise my mom her birthday, Steve helped his brother and family move to Washington and living life the best way we can.

The adoption process has been a slug. We went to the training through our agency in June, which was incredibly inspiring and great information. We are in the home study part of our process, but we have placed adoption on hold for the moment. Steve and I have been getting the urge to travel more and see this beautiful world and all that it has to see and explore. This slug is moving still but much much slower. We both really want to be parents, so hopefully it will happen for us.
