say hello to FALL

If you saw my instagram page you know that Steve and I ran the Fit One half. I was a lot of fun running with Steve, rather than my lonesome self. We ran and walked, by the 10th mile I tired, but kept going and got myself a personal record. I believe it was all Steve pacing me while we ran.

My parents got a Tesla for 24 hours so they decided to come up to say hi to us the first weekend in October. We had a fun time showing them the town. My mom has been up prior, but it was my dad's first time coming to see us. We hiked half way up to Table Rock until the boys decided to turn back. My mom, Wrigley and I kept going and we made it all the way. I never knew that Table Rock was at the bottom of the Idaho Lake forever ago. After our hike we went to meet up with Kate, Matt and Boggs for breakfast at the Griddle. We all had a good time chatting about how we like being in Boise.

The same weekend my parents came into town was Conference. I absolutely love how a few of the apostles stated what President Thomas S. Monson told us to do back in April. He asked us all to read the Book of Mormon each day. I have noticed some of the same things the apostles had said about my testimony, faith and love for the Book of Mormon ever since Thomas S. Monson said that. Elder Uctdorfs talk Saturday morning was good too about the this family and their dog on a vacation. They ended up losing their dog and was very sad. Two or three weeks later their dog was on their porch. In this world, it is hard sometimes to always do good and believe Christ. I know that if we have no doubt and continue to have faith in Jesus Christ and hang tight on to the iron rod we will be able to see Him again someday.

This past weekend we went to Donnelly, Idaho to our friend's cabin with 3 other couples to hang out. We all went to the Pancake House in McCall and let me tell you about their gluten free blueberry pancakes, sooo bomb. They have a cinnamon roll that can't fit inside a large to go box and that looked good too. We also played games, sat by the fire, walked along the beach, painted squashes and screwed around. We had a blast!

A Set-Back

I was hoping by now Ashley would be writing you, telling you how wonderful she is doing, but you get to hear from me again. Ashley had a major set back early Friday morning her new heart was failing her. It started with her getting nauseated and then by a couple of weird readings on the telepromter . She was sent back to the operating room to see what could be done. She has been placed on full bypass and full support so her new heart can rest. There are no signs of rejection and the doctors are in a conundrum, they don't know what happened. Ashley is sedated completely , she will not remember any of this. The hope is her heart will rest and come Monday or Tuesday they will begin to see what kind of load her heart can hold. Ashley needs your prayers and thoughts more now than ever, she is so strong and has the will to overcome anything throwing her way. We all believe in miracles and pray that one is happening for Ashley.

Chalk It Up as a Miracle.........

Some of you may know, but Ashley went through another Heart Transplant yesterday. After her first first new heart started to fail, we re-listed on the her on the transplant list immediately. We knew getting another heart would be a long shot, but we wanted the option to be there if a heart came available. Sure enough 18 hours on the list a second heart came available that was a perfect match for Ashley. Ironically, it took 4.5 months and then 2 hearts in the same week. We, including the doctors, are all chalking it up as a miracle. It was decided not to wait to see if the first heart would handle the load she would need but rather to move forward with the new donor heart. Going through a transplant a second time makes you really feel for the family who lost their daughter, sister, spouse and friend. We are grateful again for the family and the individual who choose to give life. We were in quite a predicament and feel only divine intervention could hav...

thank you 2015

What a year it has been for me, my family and friends. There were some pretty eventful days for all of us. So very thankful for my cheer squad through this year. Before this year I never thought of a heart transplant. I mean I knew I was going to get one sometime in my lifetime, but this soon. At first I was kinda upset when the doctor was telling me about how bad my heart was functioning. All of this came incredibly fast and now I am on the other end of it. I remember when I had a melt down with Gus and being so frustrated that I didn't get my new heart. Everyone else had got theirs, why not me? Those days have come and gone. I have learned so much about myself and how much Heavenly Father loves each in every one of you. He works in such mysterious ways, that is so amazing to me. I have not only learned, I have grown. My golden year has been one I will never forget and I bet I will be referencing through out my life. There are so many of you that I wa...
